Shaunice (Harris) Malcolm

Shaunice (Harris) Malcolm joined the CBU softball staff in the fall of 2014 after finishing up as the head coach at Valley View High School in Moreno Valley. 

Harris brings NCAA Division I experience as a former University of Florida Gator, appearing in three NCAA Women’s College World Series and two SEC Titles. She was also was selected to receive the Arthur Ashe Junior Sports Scholar Award in 2010. While at Florida, Harris secured the starting third base position as a freshman, but her career was cut short due to injuries.

She never let her surgeries take away her passion for the game and chose to coach by being inspired by NCAA Champion Florida Gator Coach Tim Walton. She has been coaching softball and training girls throughout the Inland Empire for the last three years.

Prior to Florida, Harris prepped four varsity years at Canyon Springs High School in Moreno Valley as the starting third baseman all four years. She received the Coaches’ Award in 2005, Best Defense Award in 2007 and was named Female Athlete of the Year in 2007. She also received all-league honors 2004-2007.
