THIS YEAR: After transferring from Mt. Vernon Nazarene, sophomore Ashlee Brandt joins the squad looking for time as a defensive specialist ... Is a tireless worker and a solid defender.
MT. VERNON NAZARENE: Spent her 2004 freshman season at NAIA-member Mt. Vernon (Ohio) Nazarene and was part of the 34-14 Cougar program that won the America Midwest Conference Tournament and advanced to the championship match of the NAIA Region IX Tournament ... Played in 21 games registering a kill, 23 assists, 16 digs and a pair of aces.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Norte Vista High in Riverside in 2004 ... Played 3 seasons of varsity volleyball for head coach Erin Sinteck ... Was a team captain for 2 years ... Spent time as a setter and in the back row ... Also played 2 seasons of varsity soccer and one season of varsity softball.
OTHER: Majoring in liberal studies ... Sister, Shannon is a member of the nationally-ranked California Baptist softball squad.
