Alexa Silva, a California Baptist University alum, currently serves as the Assistant Director of Athletic Facilities at CBU, a position she began in August 2023. Prior to this role, she was deeply involved with CBU Athletics, having worked as a student worker in game management from 2018 to 2020. During her graduate studies (2021-2022) in Sports Information, Alexa took on greater responsibilities, running baseball, softball, and water polo games, while also assisting with other game day operations and office tasks.
As a student-athlete, Alexa was a dedicated swimmer for CBU from 2018 to 2022. During the 2020-2021 season, Alexa finished 11th in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:21.19 and 16th in the 100-yard breaststroke, clocking in at 1:06.04, at the WAC Championships. Additionally, she was named to the WAC All-Academic Team. In the 2019-2020 season, Alexa placed 8th in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:18.39, 10th in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:04.06, and 27th in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:08.49 at the WAC Championships. She also set personal records and recorded top-10 times in CBU history, including a third-place finish at the UNLV Invite in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:19.49. For her impressive improvements, she was awarded Academic All-WAC and named Most Improved Women’s Swimmer for significant time drops in both breaststroke events. In the 2018-2019 season, Alexa set the second-fastest time in CBU history in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:19.53, earning a top-10 finish in both the 200-yard and 100-yard breaststroke events at the WAC Championships. She was also named to the Academic All-WAC Team.
Outside of athletics, Alexa contributed to a major facilities project at CBU, assisting with the development of the new baseball and softball building.
In May 2024, Alexa married Ryan Silva, a CBU baseball alum.
