CBU Athletics

Arick Lopez joined the CBU Strength and Conditioning staff as an Assistant Director in July 2024.

Lopez spent six seasons with the CBU wrestling program, competing in the 184, 197, and 285 lb weight classes. Lopez posted 26 wins during his wrestling career and was a 2020 NCO All-American. Lopez was the runner-up at Iowa State's Cyclone Open in 2021 and the 2019 California Collegiate Open. Lopez was also a five-year varsity starter and spent  three years as a Captain for CBU wrestling. 

Lopez graduated with his Bachelor's of Kinesiology in Sports Medicine in 2021 and earned his Master's Degree for Kinesiology in Exercise Science in 2023. During his time at CBU from 2020-2023, he was a paid intern for the strength and conditioning program. In 2022, Lopez worked with the USC football program as a strength and conditioning intern. Before returning to CBU, Lopez also worked as a trainer for high school and collegiate athletes.
