Kimberly joined Coach Johnson's staff in March of 2025.
Coach DeBoer joined the Lancers program after a very successful four-year playing career at San Francisco State. DeBoer was instrumental in guiding the Gators to the DII National Championship game where they were the runners-up. DeBoer was named AVCA All-American Second Team and AVCA and D2CCA All-West Region First Team, 3x CCAA Setter of the Year, 3x All-CCAA First-Team, NCAA Championship All-Tournament Team, CSC Academic All-American Second Team during her senior season. DeBoer was the first player in program history to be named AVCA All-American Second Team, while playing in all 123 sets. DeBoer set the Gators new single-season record for assists in 2024 with 1,392 and finished her career with over 4,000 career assists. In 2023 she earned AVCA All-American Honorable Mention as well.
At SF State, DeBoer was also involved in the Student Athlete Advisory Committee with the role of President for three years. DeBoer was a recipient of the DII 50th Anniversary Scholarship and helped SF State SAAC earn the CCAA Community Service award two years in a row. The executive board also worked to create a Mental Wellness Campaign to promote awareness of mental health and wellness within the community. DeBoer was honored with the Gator Student Leadership Award from Student Life which recognized community engagement on campus. Since 2020, she also has been working with various volleyball clubs coaching teams and running clinics.
Prior to her career at SF State, DeBoer played high school volleyball at Murrieta Valley HS where she was the Press Enterprise Player of the Year in 2019, the CIF Southwestern League MVP, among many other accolades.Â
