RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- Ryan Steiger ripped 6 goals in the opener, and David Graves teamed up with Jason Bills in the nightcap, as No. 20-ranked California Baptist notched a pair of wins.

The Lancers bump their season record to 18-7 with the pair of wins, which stretch their current winning streak to 4 games.

Josh Harris got the Lancers up on the board less than a minute into the evening, 13-6, win over Whittier, and California Baptist was off to the races from that point on, gaining a lead of 3-1 after one period before going up 6-3 at the half.

The Poets made it interesting in the fourth quarter on a goal from Jake Zerbe that brought Whittier within 4, at 10-6, but the Lancers responded with 3 unanswered goals, including 2 by Jason Bills, to end it.

While Bills found the net 3 times in the closing period, David Graves quietly scored one goal in each of the game's final 3 quarters.

In the opener against Gannon (PA), Steiger notched 6 scores, including 3 in the first period as California Baptist sprinted out to a 17-8 win. The Golden Knights pulled within 4, at 12-8, thanks to 3 consecutive goals by Charles Doane, but Andrew Thacker's only goal on the day initiated a 5-0 Lancer run as California Baptist put the game well out of reach.
