ROAD TRIP!

RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- In what is potentially, the biggest game of the year in all of the GSAC, the CBU Campus Activities office is sponsoring and coordinating a CBU Crazies “rooter” bus to the basketball doubleheader Friday night at nationally-ranked Azusa Pacific.
The bus is scheduled to leave the CBU campus at 4:30 p.m. and stay for both the women's (5:30 start) and men's (7:30 start), returning campus after the men's game. The only thing required in a $5 deposit to reserve a seat on the bus and inside the Felix Event Center for the games. The deposit will be refunded later that night. Signups are being taken in the game room across the hall from Wanda's.
Those students (undergrad, grad, DCP, etc.), faculty and staff wishing to catch a ride on the bus are urged to sign up quickly as just 20 seats remain.
The women's game marks the return of CBU head coach Danelle Bishop to Azusa, the place where she spent the previous four seasons patrolling the sidelines. Bishop led the Cougars to four straight NAIA Tournaments. She and the Lancers need just one more win to post their first non-losing GSAC season since the Lancers won the 1990 GSAC title.
The men's game features the two teams tied for second at 13-5 in the GSAC, just one game out of first place. The Lancers, who will likely make their second straight national tournament appearance in a few weeks, control their own destiny as they seek their first-ever league title. The Lancers would love nothing more than to avenge a 73-72 setback to the Cougars back in January in Riverside. They'll have to do it on the road against the hottest team in the GSAC as the Cougars have won seven straight and 10 of their past 11, dating back to Jan. 22.
