BOSTON ? California Baptist continued their MIT Invite streak to three straight after a pair of wins over Washington and Jefferson (16-5) and Fordham (13-3). Fourteen different Lancers (7-2) scored goals in the two wins.
Brent Troutman and Nick Schofield notched a pair of hat tricks in the win over Washington and Jefferson. It was Troutman's second of the season and Schofield's first of his career. Both Aaron Steiger and Brett Landfield each netted two goals while Chris Gwinn, Tommy Hunter, Alex Shorts, Norbert Karoly, Chris Toy and Peter Hines all scored single goals.
Zach Bowman and Dylan Cox combined for seven saves with Cox notching a game-high five. Each keeper also posted two steals while Bowman recorded an assist.
Three Lancers scored two goals each in the win over Fordham. Chris Morgan, Steiger and Alan Ogden each found the back of the net on two occasions. Morgan added an assist and a steal while Steiger posted an assist and drew two ejections.
Jason Bills, Jeff Woolstenhulme, Hunter, Shorts, Karoly, Toy and Hines all scored goals against the Rams.
Bowman and Cox combined for 11 saves with eight coming from Bowman.
The Lancers will close out the MIT invite, Sunday, with games against Harvard at 8:15 a.m. (PST) and MIT at 11 a.m. (PST). Harvard upset the Lancers last year in an overtime thriller.
