THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — A Steiger is still at the top of the career scoring list at California Baptist Univerity, it's just not Ryan any more. those pesky little brothres. Ryan Steiger only got to hold the school's career scoring record for two years and will now step aside as little brother Aaron surpassed him with his eighth and final goal of the day as California Baptist University snatched two wins over two ranked NCAA Division III teams. CBU scored an 8-6 win over No. 5 Claremont Mudd-Scripps and an 11-7 victory over No. 4 Whittier. The Lancers now move to 6-2 on the season.

Aaron now leads Ryan by one goal, 210-209, with plenty more expected to come the way for Aaron. Aaron already holds the school's career record for steals and holds a few single-season records as well that Ryan once held.

In the Lancer's first game of the day, CBU scored just 22 seconds in, but CMS matched the Lancers point for point early. Though the Lancers stretched their lead to two several times in the third and fourth quarters, CBU was never able to pull away, winning by only two goals, 8-6.

The Lancers were led in scoring Aaron Steiger who tallied four goals.

In game two, the Lancers recorded another victory, 11-7. The Lancers jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the first quarter, before the Poets scored a goal. CBU quickly squelched the comeback bid, piling on two more goals to go up 6-1. Whittier scored two more goals in the last minute of the second quarter to run the score to 6-3, in favor the Lancers, going into halftime.

The Lancers and the Poets continued to swap goals over the final two quarters of the game, with the Lancers making another notch in the win column, taking the game by a final score of 11-7.

Steiger again led CBU with four goals, while goalie Austen Ramer tallied five saves.

The Lancers will be in action again September 25-26, when they host the Lancer Invite at CBU.
