
NOMINEES KEEP COMING

RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- The list of nominees just keeps growing, as California Baptist University has six student athletes nominated in this week's The Press-Enterprise Performer of the Week Poll.
Trevor Graifman and Jamie Flynn earned nominations for men's and women's diving, after competing at the Bulldog Invitational. Graifman won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events, while Flynn finished second in both events.
Brannon Bradley and V.V. Vasciunaite were nominated for men's and women's basketball, after leading their respective teams to big wins last week. Bradley led the Lancers to a home victory over La Sierra, scoring 26 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in the 70-64 win. Vasciunaite averaged 24 points last week as the Lancers went 1-1 at the Lewis and Clark Warrior Classic.
Chris Santana wrestled his way into the poll with his second tournament victory this season, winning the 149-pound weight class at the Cal State Fullerton Open Wrestling Tournament last Saturday.
And finally, Fabiola Zanella da Silva rounds out the Lancer nominees after willing CBU women's soccer to a 3-1 national tournament first round victory over Northwood (Texas). da Silva scored two goals last Saturday, the first of which broke a 1-1 second half tie.
Readers of The Press-Enterprise are given the chance to vote for a performer of the week every Tuesday.
