
CBU Launches SuperFan U, Student Rewards App

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – California Baptist University Athletics announced a partnership with the nationally acclaimed Super Fan U company on a new student loyalty/rewards program for the 2017-18 season.
SuperFan U has designed and provided a high tech, free mobile-phone "app" for CBU's student body to download through their Apple or Android app stores for their phones. The app is dubbed "Crazies Rewards" to honor the Lancers' student section and is the one-stop shop for all things CBU Athletics, including home contests, social media, video and special offers from sponsors.
All CBU students will receive "points" at various values when they utilize the technology in their phones to "check in" at Lancer games or share their CBU game-day experiences on their Twitter, Facebook or within the app itself. Students will then be able to turn their loyalty to Lancer Athletics into prizes and experiences.
"We are thrilled to announce our CRAZIES Student Rewards program," Associate Director of Athletics Marketing and Media Relations Micah Fuller said. "With the opening of our new 5,050 seat events center, record enrollment and transition to NCAA Division I membership in 2018, we wanted to find meaningful ways to reach and engage our students."
"Crazies Rewards" also provides a social media feed that holds all CBU Athletics-related posts from Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in one centralized social link on their phones. The app also features a video portal for CBU Athletics. A "Fan Cam" feature will also allow students to post photos at events.
Lancer students who download the app during Welcome Weekend will receive "check-in" points and begin working their way to prizes immediately. CBU joins an impressive list of SuperFan U clients, including the University of Florida, Michigan, Clemson, Penn State and Michigan among others.
"Super Fan U's mobile app. was the perfect fit for CBU Athletics," Fuller said. "We took a unique approach with rewarding our students. We are giving out rewards three times each year with 750 students earning amazing experiences, athletic gear, skateboards, beach cruisers and more. Given that we are in the heart of southern California, we wanted to make sure our rewards fit in with the lifestyle of our students."
