OAKLAND — In the final game before a playoff push, No. 19-ranked California Baptist University put together a strong second half, limiting Holy Names to 18 points in the frame to grab a 79-57 victory Saturday night.
The Lancers improve to 24-4 overall, 17-3 in the PacWest with their 10th-straight win. The Hawks drop to 11-20 on the year, 7-13 in conference.
Kalidou Diouf led all scorers with a huge 30 points on the night (14-for-19). Jordan Heading (7-for-15) chipped in 17 points, while Bul Kuol chipped in 13 points (3-for-4) and was just shy of a double-double, tying his career high with eight rebounds.

After the Hawks cut the margin to five, 50-45, CBU put some stops together to build back its double-digit lead with an 11-2 run. All 11 points came from the Lancers' big man, including a wide-open look from the perimeter for Diouf.
It put CBU up 61-47 just about halfway through the second and back in control of the game.
With just over five minutes left on the clock, CBU scored five unanswered points to push its lead to 20 points, 75-55. Ty Rowell sealed the 79-57 victory with a jumper and then Micah Robinson grabbed a defensive board to finish the game.
The Lancers shift focus to the postseason now, with the PacWest Conference Tournament next on the docket. CBU will host the tournament in the CBU Events Center March 1-3, with the Lancers grabbing a first-round bye as the No. 2 seed.
