Acquaah Named NABC All-District

RIVERSIDE - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today the 2018-19 NABC Division I All-District teams. California Baptist sophomore Milan Acquaah was named 2018-19 NABC District 6 Second Team, as voted on by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division I. District 6 consists of teams in both the Big Sky Conference and Western Athletic Conference.
Acquaah, a transfer from Washington State, was recently named the 2019 WAC Newcomer of the Year after leading the league in scoring with 19.2 points per game in the regular season. He was also named First Team All-WAC and to the All-Newcomer Team. He finished the regular season averaging 19.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game. With those averages, he ranked first in points, second in steals, eighth in assists and 12th in rebounds among WAC players. Acquaah is the only player in the league to be ranked in the Top 15 in all four statistical categories. Acquaah scored 20 or more points in 18 games this season, including a career-high 36 points in a win over WAC regular season and tournament champion New Mexico State on Jan. 3.

Located in Kansas City, MO, the NABC was founded in 1927 by Phog Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas.
