
WBB Preview: Lancers Brace for Midwest Test

This week the Lancers will return to action after an 11-day hiatus to take on Chicago State and Kansas City on the road.
CBU went 3-1 against these two teams last season, sweeping CSU by an average of 31.5 points per game and splitting with the Roos, dropping the first at home 78-74, and defeating KC in Missouri in a double-OT thriller.
CBU still leads the WAC in points per game (74.3), assists per game (17.4) and rebounds per game (39.8), while Ane Olaeta leads all WAC players in assists per game with 5.9.

The Cougars claimed their first conference win of the season last weekend in Bakersfield as they used a 15-7 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter to walk away with their first win ever against the Roadrunners.
A win against the Lancers will give Chicago State their first winning streak since Jan. 30 and Feb. 4 of 2016.
CBU will return their leading scorers from last year's games, as Ane Olaeta led the Lancers at home with 23 points, while Lexy Ram, who spearheaded the efforts in Chicago a year ago with 21 points in just 23 minutes of work.
