CBU Ends Fall with Top-30 Ranking

RIVERSIDE – California Baptist University women's cross country is back to a top-30 standing in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's (USTFCCCA) final NCAA Division I National Coaches of the 2020 fall segment.
It is the second time this year the Lancers' women have been ranked in the USTFCCCA poll after they debuted at No. 28 in week one on Oct. 27. CBU is the lone Western Athletic Conference team, male or female, to be ranked nationally.
CBU's women have won back-to-back WAC titles and recorded a perfect score at the 2019 WAC Championships. It earned the Lancers the final spot in the USTFCCCA Top 30 at the end of the year, and a top-five ranking in the West Region. The USTFCCCA has yet to release its regional rankings for this year.

The women repeated as WAC champions while the men were edged out by Utah Valley for a second-place finish at the 2019 WAC Championships. Anett Somogyi claimed the women's individual title again.
