
Honer Receives Fifth Weekly WAC Award

It ties Honer for the most WAC Diver of the Week awards this season, with Grand Canyon's Piertro Hufnagel Toscani also receiving the distinction five times. No other diver has earned the accolade more than twice this season.

The award comes after a standout showing for Honer at the Air Force Diving Invitational over the weekend. The highlight of the week came when Honer won the 1-meter board with a score of 331.55 in the finals.

Honer did so up against divers from Air Force, Utah, BYU, Wyoming and Denver. He qualified for finals in all three events, as he took sixth on platform with a new season-best of 285.35 that ranks second in CBU's history in the event, and finished 10th on the 3-meter board (287.65).
The Lancers have turned their focus to the WAC Championships, which will take place Wednesday, Feb. 26 through Saturday, Feb. 29 in Houston at the CRWC Natatorium.
