Voting Set to Begin for Baseball's All-Decade Team

RIVERSIDE – California Baptist University has announced nominees for the Lancer Baseball 2010-19 All-Decade Team. Fans will vote to decide who makes the 2010-19 All-Decade Team.

There are nine position groups for fans to vote on: catcher, first base, second base, third base, shortstop, outfield, designated hitter, starting pitcher and relief pitcher. The final All-Decade Team will be made up of 17 players, with nine position players, four starting pitchers, four relievers and a designated hitter.

Voting for each position will be open for 24 hours, with the top vote-getter revealed the next day. The voting schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, September 1 – 9 a.m.: First Base
Wednesday, September 2 – 9 a.m.: Second Base
Thursday, September 3 – 9 a.m.: Third Base
Friday, September 4 – 9 a.m.: Shortstop
Monday, September 7 – 9 a.m.: Outfielders
Tuesday, September 8 – 9 a.m.: Catcher
Wednesday, September 9 – 9 a.m.: Designated Hitter
Thursday, September 10 – 9 a.m.: Starting Pitcher
Friday, September 11 – 9 a.m.: Relief Pitcher

Postseason honors and MLB Draft selections
Statistical on-field production

Those Lancers who are nominated more than once can only qualify for one position on the All-Decade team. Players who manned more than one position in their careers were assigned to their primary position(s) over 2010-19.
