Graf Goes Off in CBU's WAC Match with Utah Valley

RIVERSIDE – Christine Graf went off for 10 kills on a .438 hitting percentage in three sets, but California Baptist University volleyball fell to Utah Valley.
The Wolverines were victorious on set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-20 on Saturday in the Van Dyne Gym. The Lancers move to 7-8 overall and 2-3 in the Western Athletic Conference, while UVU has now won three-straight matches to improve to 8-8 and 3-3.
California Baptist out aced Utah Valley 6-3 on Saturday, with Hana Okuhara putting down a team-high two, while Cassidy Dennison, Paige Johnstone, Leah Pease and Jennifer Blessing had one, as well.
Johnstone had a match-high 13 digs, as well, while Pease had 14 assists and six digs and Okuhara finished with 12 assists and five digs. Tesa Oaks and Anouk van Noord had seven and six kills, respectively.
CBU's three-match homestand comes to an end against Seattle U on Thursday, October 14 in the Van Dyne Gym. The match is set for a 7 p.m. start. The Lancers will play the Redhawks twice next week, with a trip to Seattle set for Saturday, October 16 at 1 p.m.
