IRVINE – California Baptist University volleyball got a number of big contributions, but could not pull out its fourth-straight win in a loss to Cal State Fullerton in the Big West/WAC Match-Up at UC Irvine's Bren Events Center on Friday.

The Lancers out dug the Titans 90-83 and got impressive double-doubles from both their setters in Leah Pease and Hana Okuhara. Pease had 27 assists and 16 digs, while Okuhara had 18 assists and 21 digs. It was not enough to take down the Titans, who won the match in four sets (18-25, 25-22, 25-21, 26-24).

CBU moves to 5-4 this season, while Cal State Fullerton improves to 3-4. The Lancers will face off with host UC Irvine on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Paige Johnstone posted a match-high 22 digs and two aces for California Baptist. Tesa Oaks and Christine Graf led the offense with 15 and 11 kills, respectively. Graf finished with a .333 hitting percentage and three blocks.

Cassidy Dennison gave CBU four players with double-digit digs, with 12 to go with four kills and two blocks. True freshman Anna Jackson logged a career-high nine kills.
