
Women’s Cross Country Earns Bid to National Championship Race

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – History was announced on Saturday afternoon as the California Baptist University women's cross country was awarded an at-large bid to the 2022 NCAA National Championship race. The Lancers are in their first year of postseason eligibility after completing the four-year transition period from Division II to Division I last summer. 𝗢𝗞𝗟𝗔𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗔 𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗!

Fourteenth-ranked CBU joins No. 6 BYU, No. 8 Colorado, No. 20 Colorado State, No. 21 Michigan, No. 4 NAU, RV Oregon State, No. 17 Toledo, No. 27 Utah Valley, No. 12 Virginia, No. 16 Washington, and No. 22 Wisconsin as at-large bid recipients.
The women's cross country team officially becomes the second team to reach an NCAA National Championship event, with the Lancer men's water polo team earning a bid for their tournament in March 2020.
Oklahoma State University will host the championships on Saturday, November 19, at The Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The women's race will begin at 7:20 a.m. Pacific Time and will be aired live on ESPNU.
