Lancers Win Game Wire to Wire vs.Wildcats

RIVERSIDE--- The Lancers and the Wildcats met for the first time in their program's history as California Baptist University took the game 64-52 and led for nearly 36 minutes of game time.
In the first half, the Lancer defense shined with three blocks by Tim Ighoefe. CBU held the wildcats to 15 points on 29% shooting, including 1-9 from the three-point line. Hunter Goodrick again provided a spark as the sixth man with eight points, five rebounds, and two assists. They also held an 18-2 advantage in bench points over Weber State to jump out to their largest halftime margin of the season.
The CBU bench continued its dominance in the second half, led by Scottie Washington. Washington exploded for a new career high with 18 points on 70% shooting in 18 minutes of play. Ighoefe collected 12 rebounds and added four more blocks to his impressive total this season. The bench combined for 42 points on 71% shooting.
CBU dominated the paint with 32 points and had a 41-28 rebounding advantage over Weber State. Seven Lancers had multiple field goals on the night, with only Washington topping double figures.
Next Up: The Lancers will face the University of San Diego on Saturday, December 10, at 7 p.m. on the road
