
Harper Leads Lancers to Tenth Conference Win in Victory Over Seattle U

RIVERSIDE – Caitlyn Harper surpassed 20 points for the 10th time this season, dropping 27 on Seattle U as the Lancers defeated the Redhawks 83-73 in the CBU Events Center on Saturday. California Baptist moves to 19-6 on the year and 10-4 in the Western Athletic Conference while Seattle drops to 9-17 and 4-11, respectively.
Harper's 27 points on 11-16 shooting (68.8%) led all scorers comfortably, grabbing nine rebounds during the process in 32 minutes of action. As she has done all season, Harper turned it on in the fourth quarter, scoring 15 of the Lancers' 18 total points in the frame, shooting 5-6 from the field and the free throw line.
Trinity San Antonio had another big game as the freshman kept scoring pace with Harper through three quarters, racking up 18 points, pulling down nine rebounds, and securing five steals. Georgia Dale was the third and final Lancer to reach double-figures with 10 points to go with five assists.
The Lancers trailed after the first quarter, but righted the ship with a 22-13 second period to build a six-point halftime lead. CBU would use a 14-2 run in the third to open things up, and a 10-4 run in the fourth to build their biggest lead of the game, a16 point margin with just under four minutes to go in the contest.
