RIVERSIDE – California Baptist University swim hosted the final home meet of the season on this rainy Saturday afternoon, hosting UC Santa Barbara for the first time in program history. The Gauchos were unbothered by the extra water, taking a 180-79 victory in the men's dual, while the Gauchos women defeated the Lancers by a score of 163-96.
Remi Fabiani won a pair of freestyle races for the Lancer men, while Mark Kovacsics and Brendan Man each earned top finishes on the day, along with other podium results. Only Michaela Trnkova touched first for the women, doing so in her first backstroke race.
The Lancer swimmers will close out the rest of the season on the road. Next is a trip to Phoenix, Arizona, to take on WAC foe Grand Canyon on January 21.
