SANTA CLARA - California Baptist University men's water polo team found out on Saturday that all good things must come to an end when they saw their seven-game winning streak snapped at the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament hosted by Santa Clara.
The Lancers first fell to #16 Fordham in the early game, 15-10, before dropping a nail bitter to #18 Harvard 11-10. CBU is now 15-14 on the season but still unblemished in the West Coast Conference at 2-0.
Thomas de Wit posted a team-high eight points (three goals, five assists), while Cameron Cullen scored a pair of goals and one assist in both games and Tanner Overbeck and Caleb Teraoka each had a game with two scores.
The men will return home next Saturday, hosting another WCC contest against the Pepperdine Waves at 12:00 p.m. on October 28.
