RIVERSIDE--- The California Baptist University volleyball team will embark on their final road trip of the regular season as they head to Texas to face Abilene Christian and Tarleton.
The Lancers are currently riding a four-game winning streak that includes three sweeps and a four-set win over Utah Valley. The streak has moved CBU into fourth place in the Western Athletic Conference standings, and currently, one game behind UTRGV for third. CBU is 7-5 in conference play and 14-9 overall.

ACU is the first match of the road trip, with the Lancers and Wildcats set to square off on Thursday in Abilene. The Wildcats defeated CBU early in the season in Riverside in five sets and are one of two teams to beat CBU at home this season. ACU currently sits in seventh in the WAC and has dropped their last five matches after a four-game winning streak.
Tarleton will be the final match for CBU in the regular season as the Lancers head To Stephenville on Saturday to take on the Texans. The Lancers defeated the Texans in four sets in Riverside in their conference home opener. The win made it four of the last five matches that have gone CBU's way.
One of CBU's keys to success has been its service game. The Lancers are second in the conference in aces with 163 and 39th in the nation. Mia Jerue is a significant reason for the ranking, as she currently leads the WAC in aces and aces per set with 40 and 0.45, respectively. Jerue is 32nd in the nation in that department and recorded five more this past week.
Almost automatic at this point for Mia. 🤷🏻♂️#LanceUp⚔️ pic.twitter.com/pJrveeRuhv
