DALLAS - California Baptist University STUNT plays in Dallas Baptist University Tournament against Oklahoma Baptist University. CBU Lancers and OBU Bisons played levels 6, 1, 8, and 5 in the last quarter of the game and ended the game with a score of 20-10.Â
The Lancers STUNT team began their third game at the tournament in Dallas, TX against 2021 and 2022 D1/D2 STUNT National Runner-Up. From the start of the game the Lancers swept the Bisons- ending the first quarter 4-0. In quarter 2, pyramids and tosses, the Lancers won the levels 6 and 8 and tied in level 5 and lost level 1.
Breanna Gonzalez, fourth year in the CBU program, and player of the game, states how she feels after losing a point and what pushes her to keep going and she said, "what keeps me pushing is my team because we are able to bring more energy and gritt to the next routine to get the next point. It makes the game more exciting because we are hungry to get the next point."
The Lancers started third quarter having possession and the Bisons and the Lancers tied in levels 2,5, and 1. Bisons take over and took the point in level 3.
I asked Karington Sebastian, third year in CBU STUNT and tumbler of the game, what she is looking forward to most this season and she said, "What I'm looking forward to the most this season is pushing ourselves towards excellence and continuing to grow in our abilities and as a family."
