ATHENS, GA - Thursday morning marked the beginning of the 2024 NCAA Women's Swim and Dive National Championships for the Lancers as California Baptist junior Sofia Maksimova became the first Lancer on the women's side to compete nationally in the Division I era.
Maksimova was slotted in the eighth and final heat of the morning against some of the top swimmers in the country, including the current NCAA record holder in the event.
