Maksimova Continues NCAA Nationals Run with the 100 Butterfly

ATHENS, GA - Day two of the Women's Swim and Dive NCAA National Championships saw California Baptist swimmer Sofia Maksimova partake in the second of her three events. In the morning session, Maksimova was placed in the second heat of the 100 butterfly event. She would post a time of 53.52 to place 56th overall in the event in which she earned a provisional place. 1⃣0⃣0⃣🦋

Sofia has one more shot at points and honors tomorrow morning in the 100 freestyle. Saturday's trials begin at 7:00 a.m. Pacific time and can be watched on ESPN+. Finals start at 3:00 p.m. Pacific and are also streamed live on ESPN+.
