ATHENS, GA - On the final day of Women's Swim and Dive NCAA Championship action, Sofia Maksimova took on a staked field in the 100 freestyle. The California Baptist University junior posted a time of 48.43, nearly matching her season best, to finish fourth in her hear and 37th overall.
This race concludes Maksimova's whirlwind first season at CBU. She rewrote much of the CBU sprints record books, broke a pair of WAC records, won four medals at the conference championship meet, and earned three National Championship berths. 4⃣8⃣.3⃣4⃣

However, competition is still ongoing for CBU, as Gael Jimenez and Mario Del Valle are set to participate in the NCAA Men's National Championships next week. Jimenez has qualified to dive in all three events for the second season in a row, while Del Valle will join him on the platform and 1M disciplines.
