RIVERSIDE – California Baptist University Athletics has notified the NCAA of its intent to opt into the forthcoming House settlement. The Lancers joined hundreds of other NCAA Institutions, which had notified the governing body by the March 1 deadline.

Vice President for Athletics, Dr. Micah Parker, added, "We want to have the option of providing as much support as we can to our student-athletes.  It seems like most, if not all, of our regional and conference competitors are doing the same."

The decision to opt in will allow the university to continue to enhance and support the student-athlete experience.  Opting into the settlement allows CBU to enhance benefits provided to student-athletes, including the potential to provide additional scholarships and secure potential name, image and likeness (NIL) opportunities with student-athletes.
