United Soccer Coaches Name Charalampous a Player to Watch

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- Junior midfielder Stavros Charalampous has been named a Player to Watch by United Soccer Coaches. Charalampous is one of 30 Division I midfielders to receive the preseason recognition.
The list of honorees on the Players to Watch list was compiled by the Division I All-America Committees. Selections were named either a United Soccer Coaches All-American or an All-Region honoree from the 2024 season.
Charalampous was an All-WAC First Team and Second Team All-Far West Region selection in 2024. He started all 19 matches for the Lancers, the only CBU player to do so, compiling over 1500 minutes on the pitch with one goal and one assist.
He was also selected to the WAC Freshman list in 2023.
Charalampous is one of four midfielders on the Player to Watch list representing the WAC. Joining him are Carson Ballagh (San Diego State), Angel Iniguez (San Jose State), and Terence Okoeguale (San Diego State).

The Lancers will open their 2025 season on Thursday, August 21, with a visit from American University. CBU and American faced off in Maryland to open the 2024 season, ending in a scoreless draw.
