
77 CBU Student-Athletes Recognized with Academic All-WAC Honors

ARLINGTON, TX --- The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) announced the list of Academic All-WAC honorees for spring sports on Tuesday. In the release, the WAC also highlighted all freshmen and transfers who gained Academic All-WAC honors this year, as 77 CBU student-athletes were honored on Tuesday.
Spring sports being recognized included baseball, softball, men's outdoor track & field, women's outdoor track & field, men's golf, and women's golf.
The WAC also recognized all freshmen and transfers who completed their first year at their institution. Honorees in this category represented fall and winter sports.
To qualify for academy All-WAC honors, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic year, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher, and participate in at least 50 percent of their team's contests. In baseball and softball, pitchers must appear in at least 20 percent of the team's games to be eligible.
The breakdown of Tuesday's Academic All-WAC selection by team is: Baseball (17), Women's Outdoor Track & Field (11), Men's Outdoor Track & Field (10), Softball (9), Women's Golf (5), Women's Cross Country (5), Men's Golf (4), Women's Soccer (3), Women's Basketball (3), Men's Soccer (3), Volleyball (3), Men's Cross Country (2), and Men's Basketball (2).
