CBU Finishes Fifth in D1-AAA ADA All-Sports Trophy Standings

CLEVELAND, Ohio – California Baptist University continued to establish itself as one of the nation's premier Division I athletic departments, earning a fifth-place finish in the 2025-26 Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association (D1-AAA ADA) All-Sports Trophy standings.
CBU totaled 149.00 points to place fifth among the 98 Division I institutions that do not sponsor football. Pepperdine University claimed the top spot, followed by High Point University, St. John's University and the University of Denver.
The D1-AAA ADA All-Sports Trophy is awarded annually to the institution that accumulates the highest point total across sports sponsored by at least 25 percent of eligible Division I-AAA member institutions.
Now in its 26th year, the D1-AAA ADA works to advance initiatives common to its Division I-AAA membership, particularly those related to their flagship basketball programs.
The top five finish marks the second time in the last three years that the Lancers have placed among the nation's best in the All-Sports Trophy standings. CBU recorded its highest-ever finish in 2023-24, placing fourth overall.
The Lancers had two programs finish atop the 2025-26 D1-AAA ADA standings, with men's cross country and women's basketball each earning first-place finishes in their respective sports.
"This is an outstanding accomplishment and another example of the talented student-athletes, coaches and staff who call themselves Lancers," said Vice President of Athletics Dr. Micah Parker. "Finishing fifth out of 98 Division I universities is a testament to so many people striving to Honor Christ through excellence in athletics."
