2020 TRACK
Hector ran just race during the shortened season...

2019 CROSS COUNTRY
Competed in four races in 2019...best 8K time and finish of the season came when he finished 25th overall at the 2019 Highlander Invitational hosted by UC Riverside in a time of 25:01.2...

2019 TRACK
Competed in 10 races during his junior season... Represented CBU at the WAC Championships in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters ... finished 17th with a 16:26.96 and 13th with a 34:14.40 in the 5,000m and 10,000m, respectively at the WAC Championships.

2018 CROSS COUNTRY
Ran in all five races during his junior season... His best run came at the Highlander Invitational when he rank the 8K in 25:19.2 for a 28th place finish ... Competed in the WAC Championship where he placed 35th with an 8K time of 25:30.0.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL
Competed for two seasons at Mt. San Antonio College... Took fourth at the 2016 State Championship in the steeplechase to earn All-American honors and was a State finalist in the steeple and 5K in 2017... Helped the Mounties win the 2016 Track and Field State Championship... Qualified for USATF Junior Nationals in 2016... Helped Mounties win the 2017 California State Championship... Posted a personal best steeplechase time of 9:18 and 14:54 in the 5K.

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Lakewood High in Lakewood, Calif., where he graduated in 2015... Named a Lakewood Youth Hall of Famer for cross country in 2014... Earned All-Moore League honors in 2014 for cross country... Captained the Lancers as a senior... Sits in the top-five best times for both the 1600 and 3200 meters at Lakewood High.

PERSONAL
Born and raised in Long Beach, Calif... Son of Rodrigo Peralta and Reyna Vargas... Has two siblings, Evelyn and Javier... Majoring in communications studies with a minor in psychology... Would like to be a counselor or coach after college... His favorite Bible passage is 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.
