THIS YEAR: Coming off an impressive freshman campaign, Andre Borrows is looking to increase his production in 2008 ... Though just a sophomore, will be looked upon to provide leadership as one of four returnees with experience ... Has an ability to get to the basket but can also be a deadly shooter from the outside ... Is a tough matchup because of his quickness and ability to pull up off the dribble ... Noted for his ability to excel in big games.
2007: Appeared in 31 games, starting 10 of them as a true freshman ... Averaged 7.4 points and 1.6 rebounds ... Also had 22 assists and 10 steals ... Was ninth in the GSAC in three-point percentage, going 48-for-111 (.432) ... Had seven double-digit scoring games ... Scored a career-high 21 points, going 7-for-10 from the field and 4-for-5 from downtown in an overtime win at Fresno Pacific ... Scored 20 points (4-for-5 from the three-point line) in just 23 minutes in a road win at No. 3 Azusa Pacific ... Had 14 points with a pair of treys at No. 10 Concordia.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped four varsity seasons for head coach Jeff Stovall at Canyon Springs High in Moreno Valley, Calif., graduating in 2006 ... Named one of the top 10 point guards in California by californiapreps.com ... Was a three-time All-Riverside County selection ... Averaged 18 points and four rebounds as a 2006 senior ... Participated in the Inland Empire All-Star game.
