Nicole Abreu set a new NCAA-era record for digs in a season for California Baptist University volleyball in the team's final home match of the regular season. The junior libero averaged 5.50 digs per set over two matches and six sets last week, with a total of 33. Abreu had 22 digs in three sets at Grand Canyon on Saturday, but first set the NCAA-era record for digs in a season with 11 in three sets versus Utah Valley on Thursday. Her 454 digs this year tops the previous single-season record of 429 in the NCAA era at CBU (2013-18) set by Becky Moodie in 2014.
