After a stellar week between the posts for California Baptist University, Sara Escobedo picked up her first PacWest Defender of the Week honor of the season, announced Monday. The sophomore goalkeeper had her fair share of action against two of the conference's top teams, making 12 saves in two games. Escobedo kept Concordia of Irvine to just one goal by making seven saves and then held Point Loma scoreless in a 1-0 victory on the road. The Sea Lion shut out marked Escobedo's second clean sheet of the season.
