SANTA BARBARA, Calif. --- The NAIA's No. 10-ranked California Baptist University got back on the winning track with a 9-0 sweep of No. 19 Westmont Saturday afternoon at the Abbott Tennis Courts in Santa Barbara.
The win moves the Lancers to 2-3 overall, 1-2 GSAC, while the Warriors fall to 1-3, 0-3.
Unlike yesterday's loss to Azusa Pacific where the Lancers dropped two of three doubles' matches, they rolled to a doubles' sweep. Then, all that was needed was a split in singles' play. They did better, sweeping all six matches.
Jelena Savic at No. 4, and Dunya Wren at No. 5 both picked up 6-0, 6-0 wins as five of the six matches were won in straight sets.
