RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- California Baptist University concludes its season-long campaign for breast cancer awareness Saturday when the Lancers host The Master's College in women's tennis at 10 a.m.
The Lancers, along with CBU's Campus Activities, are partnering with Tennis Against Breast Cancer and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the pink “CBU Crazies” t-shirts will be donated to the organization. The “Crazies” shirts will be available for purchase at the game.
This is the third breast cancer awareness event of the year for CBU. Back in October, CBU women's volleyball team participated in the Side Out Foundation's Dig Pink Initiative, raising more than $2,000 for breast cancer awareness and research for the foundation. Two weeks ago, CBU women's basketball team participated in the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association's (WBCA) Pink Zone Initiative to aid the Kay Yow Foundation.
Founded in 1996, Tennis Against Breast Cancer is a tennis organization specially formed within the tennis community to expand awareness of breast cancer and raise funds to find a cure. Through tennis and sporting events, TABC provides a means of raising funds which have benefited several organizations.
