LANCERS SWEEP WARRIORS

RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- The NAIA's No. 7-ranked California Baptist University worked quickly Saturday, sweeping a 9-0 win from Westmont at the Pentz Tennis Center.

With the win, the Lancers improve to 11-6 overall, 8-4 GSAC. The Warriors fall to 5-10, 3-9.

Played as the first part of a doubleheader with the men, the Lancers and Warriors began the match with singles play. Raquel Vescovi provided the clinching point with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Ilissa Matthews at No. 1. The Lancers won all six matches in straight sets, all but four of them by either 6-1 or 6-0 scores.

The Lancers then put the finishing touches with three quick wins in doubles play all of them by 8-4 or better.
