LANCERS DOWN HOPE

FULLERTON, Calif. --- The NAIA's No. 7-ranked California Baptist University swept through doubles play to key its way to an 8-1 win at No. 21 Hope International Tuesday.

With the win the Lancers improve to 12-6 overall, 9-4 GSAC. It is their fourth straight win. The Royals fall to 5-11, 3-9.

The Royals defaulted at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles. The Lancers then won four of the remaining five singles' matches, all in straight sets, dropping just four games in the process. Jessica Roddy defeated Kasey Martin, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 5. HIU picked up its lone point when Betinna Radke defeated Marcela Montanha, 4-6, 6-2, 10-7, at No. 1.
