
LANCERS SWEEP BRONCOS

POMONA, Calif. --- The NAIA's No. 7-ranked California Baptist University swept through doubles play and then won five of six singles' matches in straight sets to post a 9-0 win over NCAA Division II Cal Poly Pomona Friday.
With the win the Lancers improve to 13-6 overall. The Broncos drop to 5-9.
The Broncos' Jackie Trendt was able to push Marcela Montanha to a tiebreaker at No. 1 singles, but Montanha prevailed 6-7, 6-2, 10-7. Other than that, the Lancers made quick work of the Broncos. Jelena Savic provided the clinching point with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Jennifer Chow at No. 2.
