RIVERSIDE, Calif. — California Baptist University will have to appreciate its home contests as much as it can, because after Monday night's 3-1 (30-24, 30-21, 28-30, 30-19) win over Princeton, the Lancers are the road for whole month of February.

Princeton stormed out to a 5-1 lead in the third set, but CBU scored three straight to close it 5-4, but the Tigers didn't lose the early lead. The Lancers pulled within two a handful of times and trailed 14-12 before Princeton went on a 5-1 run to take its biggest lead of the set at 19-13. The Lancers closed it to three at 23-20, but Princeton again held the Lancers off with a 3-1 run to lead 26-21 and led 27-22 before three straight errors brought CBU within two at 27-25. The Tigers took it out to a 29-25 lead, but a Garet Kreutziger kill, a Tiger error and a Penner ace made it 29-28. On the final play of the set, Cabral was whistled for a questionable error to end the set.
The Lancers broke open the final set, after leading 9-7, with a 16-5 run to lead 25-12 and it was smooth sailing from there.
CBU now gets set for a trip to the Midwest next week at the Lindenwood Tournament and will be on the road until March 6 when it hosts Lewis (Ill.).
