
Five Lancers Named NFCA Scholar-Athletes

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Five members of the 2014 California Baptist University's softball team picked up recognition Thursday morning for their success not on the diamond, but the classroom.
Kayla Hatch, Jennifer Kolander, Kailey Willingham, Brittany Boone and Belinda Renne each earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2013-14 academic year.
The honor is awarded to student-athletes with a 3.5 grade point average or higher and was given to a total of 692 NCAA Division II athletes.
