RESULTS
GRAND JUNCTION, Co. — California Baptist University finished the fifth annual Colorado Mesa University Invitational the same way it started the first day, in second place. The Lancers ended the three-day meet with 850.5 points.
The first Lancer win of the night came from Alena Rumiantceva as she took the 200-yard breaststroke in two minutes, 16.47 seconds.
Mary Hanson, Robin Smallwood, Hailey Golden and Yosita Hapsari teamed up for the 400-yard freestyle, finishing in 3:26.90 for another event win.
Kyndal Terwilliger and Kristina Tchernyshev also scored points for the Lancers. In the 300-yard butterfly, Terwilliger came in second place with a time of 2:06.86, while Tchernyshev finished right behind her at 2:08.34 for third.
The Lancers head back home to California for one last competition in 2014, traveling to Cal State Bakersfield for a dual on Dec. 13.
