RESULTS

POMONA, Calif. –
Thirteen victories in 16 events fueled California Baptist University to a dominant win in its first dual of the season, 192-104.

Alena Rumiantceva and Patricia Hapsari both led the Lancers to the team victory, with four wins on Saturday. Kristina Tchernyschev and Bre Schlenger also won multiple events, with three from Tchernyschev and Schlenger sweeping both diving boards.

More valuable than the victories for Schlenger was the NCAA Division II Championship automatic-qualifying mark of 416.10 points on her 1-meter 11 dive list. She also posted 366.38 points on the three-meter.

Rumiantceva, Hapsari and Tchernyschev teamed with Andrea Laliena for a victory in the 400-yard medley relay in three minutes, 55.89 seconds to start the day's successes. Rumiantceva went on to sweep the 200 (2:26.09) and 100 breaststrokes (1:07.19) before a final victory in the 400 individual medley (4:38.46).

Hapsari would log three individual triumphs before the day was done, as well. All three came in freestyle events: the 200 (1:54.75), 50 free (24.52) and 100 (52.70), with all coming within a second of B-cuts.

Tchernyschev showed off her prowess in the butterfly, winning the 200 (2:11.06) and 100 (58.52).

Courtney Chacon and Christie Halverson also posted individual victories of their own in the distance events. Chacon won the 1650 free in 18:05.77 and Halverson won the 500 free in 5:11.65.
