RIVERSIDE, Calif. — There are only two games left in the regular season for No. 22 California Baptist University, giving the Lancers one last push before postseason. CBU already has a guaranteed spot in the PacWest Tournament, held March 5-7 at Concordia University of Irvine.
This week, the Lancers head to Fresno Pacific for a Thursday 7:30 p.m. contest and then turn right around to host Notre Dame de Namur on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Not only will Saturday be dedicated to honoring four seniors (Chris Brown, Eric Nelson, Eric Hunt, Eividas Petrulis), it will also be CBU's second nationally televised game in program history, broadcasted live on Fox Sports West.
Head-to-Head
Thursday marks the first time this year the Lancers and Sunbirds will square off with CBU holding an 11-game advantage in the all-time series, 44-33. Last year, the Lancers swept the series with 86-81 and 81-67 wins.
With one win already under its belt this year, CBU moved to 9-2 in the all-time series against the Argonauts. The Lancers defeated NDNU 83-56 on the road back in December and will look to complete the sweep at home on Saturday. They currently are on a six-game winning streak versus the Argos.

The Lancers dropped five spots, back to No. 22 in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches/NCAA Division II poll. CBU debuted in the NCAA Division II West Region rankings as the No. 2 team in the region, behind Azusa Pacific. Another ranking is set to come out Wednesday.
