Davis Grabs First PacWest Honor

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — After a stellar collegiate debut, No. 9-ranked California Baptist University saw De'jon Davis honored as the PacWest Defender of the Week.
Davis nearly averaged a double-double in the two games of the Lancers Tip-Off Challenge, registering 9.0 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. He had 16 rebounds and two blocks in his first college game against Montana State-Billings, which was the most rebounds by a Lancer since 2012.
The freshman Oakland native will look to keep up his defensive prowess this week as CBU hosts Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
