
91 Lancers Achieve ADA Academic Awards

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Ninety-one California Baptist University student-athletes earned Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Awards, which was an institution best in the Pacific West Conference in 2017-18.
The Academic Achievement Awards is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes, with a record number of 10,116 student-athletes earning the recognition this year.
"It's great to see our student-athletes are competing as hard in the classroom as they do in competition," Director of Athletics Dr. Micah Parker said. "To lead the PacWest in the number of academic award winners is a great achievement."
Qualified student-athletes needed to maintain cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, have produced a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college-level work, and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.
The sport breakdown of ADA honorees were 13 in swim/dive; 11 each in women's soccer and cross country/track; nine in volleyball; seven in baseball and women's water polo; six women's golfers; five in wrestling, men's water polo and men's soccer; four men's basketball and softball; three women's basketball and a men's golfer.
