CBU handled Northern Arizona 98-79 last Thursday before going into double-overtime on Saturday afternoon against UC Santa Barbara, defeating the Gauchos 85-81. Lexy Ram led the way in both games with 32 and 31 points respectively, and earned her first WAC Player of the Week honor in the wake of those games.

This is the first year that the Greater Victoria Invitational Tournament will be held in Victoria after previously being hosted in Vancouver. The three-day tournament will showcase some of the countries elite teams.
The tournament has seen eventual NCAA Final Four teams such as Mississippi State (2017 & 2018 runner-up), Syracuse (2016 runner-up), and Stanford (2017 Final Four) start their runs here. This year, all three of those teams mentioned will take part, as well as Bowling Green, San Francisco, Green Bay, and Houston.
California Baptist will face their toughest test of the season on opening night, being matched up against the third ranked team in the nation in Stanford. The Cardinal enter the match-up with a 5-0 record and maintaining an average scoring margin of +34.
Stanford will have the clear height advantage in the game, with 10 of their 15 roster spots measuring in at 6 feet tall or more, but a similar discrepancy was present in CBU's victory over UC Santa Barbara.
Friday's opponent will be determined by the winner/loser of the Syracuse/Houston game on Thursday.
